Prime Minister (PM) Abhisit Vejjajiva today announced the revocation of the rules of the curfew imposed in Bangkok and 23 provinces in the country. Cancellation of the curfew was done because the situation is now under control.

But Abhisit added, there are no plans to lift state of emergency followed the end of demonstrations during the two months by protesters ‘red shirts’.

Day curfew began to set Wednesday, May 19, when troops ended the occupation of parts of the city center by anti-government demonstrators Bangkok.
The military operation has caused riots and arson in Bangkok and in other cities in northern Thailand. Soldiers and other security officials later managed to control the situation.
